Selling directly to NPCs

Please note that although NPCs will pay for crafted goods such as bows and kite shields, there is a limit of 5k gold per IP address

  • The 5k limit only applies to crafted goods. Gems and other treasure found while adventuring can be sold in unlimited quantities.
  • Players who seek to turn a profit through crafting will want to establish trade with adventuring players.
  • Fortunately, there are many types of crafted items which are in high demand among adventurers and militia members.

Bulk Order Deeds ("BODs/LBODs")

Bulk Order Deeds comes in two types, small and large for tailors and blacksmiths.

  • Small BODs contain an order for a certain number of items to be crafted, the bod will dictate if the items need to be exceptional (or not), and what material they need to be crafted from.
  • Large BODs are collections of small BODs, they will also dictate the quality and material required in the small BODs used to fill them.
    • Large BODs require significantly more work, and the rewards are commensurable with the work.

Acquiring BODs

Bulk Order Deeds are acquired on chance by selling a crafted item to a tailor or blacksmith NPC.

  • As long as you have at least 50.1 points in the crafting skill, and your cooldown timer has elapsed, upon selling an item you have a chance to receive a BOD.
  • This is calculated 'per transaction' not 'per item', therefore it is most profitable to sell items one at a time.
  • Upon being offered the BoD, you will be prompted to answer the same captcha that is used in lumberjacking, mining, and lockpicking.
    • This captcha is a simple image displaying 9 items and you need to select the one which stands out from the others.
      • Failure to properly answer the captcha too many times will result in your character being jailed for AFK resource gathering.
      • Letting the captcha time out (such as if you get disconnected) will not result in jailing, but will result in the loss of your resources (the BoD you were going to have received in this case).

BOD timer

BOD Timers are on a 6 hour cooldown.

  • To check your cooldowns, you may use the command [bodtimers.
  • Note: Turning in a completed BOD resets this timer back to 0 (eligible to receive a new BOD).

Turning in a BOD

To turn a BOD in to an NPC, simply drop the BOD on the NPC.

  • You will receive a reward based upon the difficulty of the order.

BOD Rewards

Rewards have been updated to include the new Architect Pen that is required in the crafted house plans

    • Getting an architect's pen through a BOD is the *only* way to construct Crafted houses.
  • Tailor cloth rewards have been reduced to 5 yards and the hues list is fully custom to An Corp with the exception of a few key hues.
  • Runic hammers have been changed to craft tiers of slayer weapons, the tiers are as follows:
    • (65) Dull Copper: Earth Shatter, Summer Wind, Lizardman Slaughter, Orc Slaying
    • (70) Shadow: Spiders Death, Snakes Bane, Troll Slaughter
    • (75) Copper: Flame Dousing, Water Dissipation, Terathan
    • (80) Bronze: Ogre Trashing, Gargoyles Foe, Elemental Health
    • (85) Golden: Arachnid Doom, Daemon Dismissal, Blood Drinking
    • (90) Agapite: Dragon Slaying, Repond
    • (95) Verite: Elemental Ban, Reptilian Death
    • (99) Valorite: Exorcism, Silver
  • Runic hammers will create a weapon with a random slayer from the list for that tier, super slayers (encompassing an entire mob type) are reservered for the top 3 runic hammers.

Runic hammers *will not* craft magic armor.

  • Using a runic hammer to craft armor will *waste* a charge.
  • There is no way to track these sort of mistakes and runic durability will *not* be adjusted for this error, please be cautious.
  • Additionally, in order to gain the benefits of the runic hammer, you must *use the same type of ingots as the runic hammer*
    • For example: Dull Copper Runic Hammer requires dull copper ingots to craft slayer weapons.

Powerscrolls are available in the BOD rewards but they must be used sequentially.

  • That is, a 105 Tailoring powerscroll must be used before a 110 Tailoring powerscroll can be used, etc.

Runic sewing kits have been removed and other rewards have been added in their place.

BOD Cloth tiers listed by hue value:

  1. 2605, 2592, 2580, 2541, 2631
  2. 1196, 2123, 1278, 2212, 1163

BOD books

BOD books can be crafted by scribes and are used to store large numbers of BODs for collecting

  • This is especially useful in lowering the number of lockdowns/bank slots required for storage.

Crafted weapon enhancements

In order to make melee a more viable option for PvE / PvM on UO An Corp we have introduced a way to extend the damage of crafted weapons beyond the bonus provided for being exceptional.

These enhancements are simply called weapon enhancements.

To enhance a weapon you need the following

  • A weapon enhancer crystal
  • A weapon to be enhanced
  • 100.0 in the crafting skill that is used to create the weapon you wish to enhance

  • Weapon enh1.png

To enhance a weapon simply double click your crystal and target the weapon to enhance.

    • Each application of a weapon enhancement increases the damage of the weapon by 10%.
    • Up to 3 weapon enhancers can be applied to the same weapon for a total damage increase of +30%.
    • These enhancements are permanent for the weapon to which they're applied and cannot be removed.
    • Note: Weapon enhancer crystals cannot be applied to runic crafted weapons or to crafted weapons with a slayer property.
